Stretch Marks and second child...

Hello!
Just curious....are there any of you who did not get any stretch marks with your first child but did with your 2nd?

I am asking because I was lucky to escape stretch marks with my daughter. I have very elastic skin, I used oils and lotions (dont know if they did the trick or not) and I worked out. I am just wondering what my chances are of escaping them again this time!

I didn't have stretch marks with my first daughter until after I gave birth, then they appeared. Now with my second pregnancy I've gotten them before birth.

I'm trying to figure out the opposite. I had lots for my first and I'm trying to figure out of they're bound to stretch with a second or if they might not get much worse. lol

I didn't get any the first time round, this time however i've popped A LOT earlier and have about 3 stretchmarks on either side of my belly button. I am oiling daily which seems to be keeping them at bay, but my last pregnany was 9 years ago so because of my age (my skin all over is a lot drier and less elasticy than when i was 21) and bodily changes over the 9 years, i've been expecting them really

I have found the best way to NOT get them is stay VERY hydrated. This will work better than any expensive lotions/creams. If your body is hydrated, then the skin is hydrated and will stretch better. However with the extra fluids I am drinking, I am also using a shea butter lotion (it is actually shea butter baby lotion LOL) and it is seeming to work. With DD I had HORRIBLE stretch marks and did not drink enough fluids (especially water) with that pregnancy. At this point with dd (I am 24 weeks today) I had big ugly purple/red stretch marks and this time, I don't have that... just the small silver coloured ones that are left over from last time lol.
