Ok so this question isnt about me but about my friend who found out she was pregnant about 4 weeks ago..she found out she was 6 weeks pregnant and now she's 10 weeks..but since her first pregnancy test being positive she has had a bleed and apparently it was preddi bad too..
so she took another pregnancy test at the doctors and it came up with a very faint line (fainter than the first few she took at 6 weeks) and the doctors have told her that she has most likely miscarried because at 10 weeks the faint line should be darker than that..
She's taken a heap of blood tests and they come back tomorrow i think.
But what im wondering is..do u think she's had a miscarriage or do u think the doctors are wrong?
does anyone else have some information about faint lines appearing on pregnancy tests at 10 weeks or so?
please let me know if this confused the hell outta you and ill try n explain it better lol.. i think ill confuse a few of u..
Only Scan would tell for certain, I dont know why they havent sent her for one?
But regarding the fainter line, this is normal, around 8 weeks the lines will often to alot lighter because there is TOO much hcg in your wee. You will general find that at 10 weeks along, if you diluted the wee with water, the line would be much stronger
I took a pregnancy test at 10 weeks as sort of an experiment and the line came up a lot lighter than my first ones! I hope she's ok!
Yeah i hope she is too.. the thing that worries me is that she also had a bleed aswel.. it really makes me angry though coz when she went to the doctors the first time they told her that they couldnt do anything about it...they didnt offer her any advice or anything... she should be okay though.. i just hope that bleed doesnt mean miscarriage
To me it doesnt sound fantastic, if she had a pretty big bleed around then it could very well be miscarriage, iv been there myself had the bleed and did a test after and had the same result...faint line.... HCG Rises and should have been alot darker line, i was pretty sad this time round and did a test to reassure myself that everything was going the way it was meant to and around 11 weeks the line was dark. if i was her i would ignore the docs and go straight to a&e and get a scan done there and then. i really hope she gets good news back though.
