Squeezing nipples

Earlier me and bf were fooling around in the bedroom and he squeezed my nipples. Some bright yellow liquid came out which I guess was colostrum. He thought it was funny and did it again. The same thing happened. Since I've read that stimulating your nipples can cause preterm labour. I'm only 25 weeks and now worried. Could it cause any damage?

I don't know but it's normal to get that anywhere from 16 weeks so I would guess you'll be fine just don't do it again or often hun!

Yes don't make it a habit. I don't think squeezing your nipples twice will automatically send you into preterm labour but you do need to be careful with it.

Tbh I don't think squeezing them will bring on labour, I only have to bend over or lie on them and mine leak! You probably have more chance of causing an infection by squeezing than it sending you into labour.

There are lot of women that are pregnant and still breast feeding, if this wa the case surely they would be told to stop!

Sounds logical Hellymay83. I've read nipple stimulation helps labour - but my understanding is that you've already started by then.

Call your MW/Doula/Care Provider. A quick call could save you *alot* of unnecessary stressing! Best of luck!

nipple stimulation can aid labor but only if your body is ready anyway and even then it takes hours of stimulation to release enough hormones to start labor off dont worry about it

I have never heard that this brings on labour!! Surely if it did hospitals would use this technique instead of pitocin lol

Thanks - totally won't be doing it again. Bf thinks I'm being dumb and you'd need so much of that hormone to start something but can't help being worried.
