I am 24 weeks pregnant and currently taking cefalexin (antibiotic), however I'm feeling lots of pressure down below , Im also getting lower back pain intermittently which is kind of worrying me now! On top of this I also have an incompetent cervix which is regularly monitored but a little unsure as to whiny still feel unwell after 2 days of taking the anti biotics! Everything is goin through my head right now like, is my boy ok, why so many aches and is any of this affecting my cervix!? Wondering if anyone has been through this or experiencing the same now? Ur answers would be greatly appreciated :s xx
I would give it a couple more days for the meds to kick in. I dont have an IC. But i dilate early and when i do i have pains down there. Do you have a cerclage in? Most times they put one in to keep it closed. I would think your baby is fine. We are more prone to getting yeast infections while pg so that can be whats happening down there. Are you being seen every wk?
I am now on day three of anti biotics and starting to feel slightly better although the back ache is still there from time to time, I don't have a cerclage in as my cervix was 3.3 last time it was measured so I assume that's good however I do get another scan to check again at 28 weeks! I think that's what worries me the most that these aches could also be linked to my cervix starting to give in :s! If by tmw I'm still not feeling 100% better I will call the midwife! thanks for your replies xx
I have a uti also and Im almost 24 weeks =( I feel your pain, I went to A&E because of the pain in my lower back and right hand side of bump. I was scared something was wrong. On 4th day of antibiotics and feeling a lot better back is still a little tender but I imagine by tomorrow or so it should be completely gone. Hope you feel better soon x
