I can't stop itching, my entire body itches- I can't pinpoint one place. Its esspecially my face and my feet. Its not awful, and I'm coping at the moment but it has woken me in the night a few times and its getting a bit annoying.
Anyone else? Does anyone know what this could be? xx
i am itchy all over too, but i was diagnosed with PUPPP and prurigo of pregnancy. its like a rash you get when your pregnant. but before i was diagnosed with the rash i was sooooo itchy everywhere and went to a dermatologist, he said it was because your skin is drying out. and to stay more hydrated, and use super moisturizing lotion. i also take a zyrtec ( the regular one not the D) during the day and benadryl at night and it seems to really help. and cortisone cream for the really itchy spots. also take a really hot shower and right before you get out turn it as cold as you can take it and stand there for like 30 seconds.
Definitely put on lots of lotion. There is a Goldbond anti-itch lotion that I've been using on my stomach, which has been pretty itchy as it starts expanding, and its helping quite a bit. But thick creams, baby oil... anything to keep the skin could help relieve it a bit.
Might want to bring it up with your midwife to see what she says. I think the itching is from increased estrogen, dry skin, and (in the belly area) stretching skin... but never hurts to be sure!
OMG me me me!!! Just over the last two to three days I've been itching all over, face, arms, back, legs ug!!! It's so frustrating!! Have an OB appt on Tuesday gonna ask her then, until that time trying benadryl at night which at least helps me sleep, and lots of lotion. Hopefully we all find relief soon!
