Mama & Papa's Pilko Pramette

Hello,

Am thinking of getting this, has any-one else got it or decided not to get it? Just after some general advice as not 100% what I'm looking for except it needs to be light and easy to use!

http://www.mamasandpapas.com/range/pliko-pramette/2412/

Thanks in advance,

Rachel x

I had this one with my DD 9 years ago, although it didn't turn to face you then. I loved it and was great for getting in and out of the car but its still fairly bulky and it did feel a little flimsy.

I had this one for my first baby.
The pros are:
you can fold it with one hand
good for small boots as its umbrella style folding
Lighter than some prams when lifting it,
easy to use with the car seat
Good manoeuvrability

The cons for me were:
You can only use pramette mode until they sit up, meaning baby will have to face a away from 5+ months and I liked to see my baby

All in all its a good purchase, but its worth testing it out in store to see if its what you want.
xx

I had one for DS2 and have another one for this baby, i only plan on using it till baby is about 5/6months as while i love it for a small baby i find it heavy when baby gets bigger and heavier and getting it up and down on crubs is a nightmare with a toddler. I bought mine 2nd hand for €30 as i spare boot buggy incase i cant bring my Cameleon if my boot is full as the pliko folds smaller.

i had this pram with my eldest son, and i loved it, i however didnt have the pramette i did have the carrycot u added on top, i found it so easy to move it was a really roomy pushchair so lasted my son a good while, the cosytoes were huge too so lasted him a good while and the bag was huge so i could fit everything i needed in and more, was very tempted to buy another one for this baby, but i got a big pram second hand, i may however buy it just as a pushchair tho lol

Thanks for the advice ladies, I had presumed it would be forward facing as well, so thats something I'm going to have to check out a bit more!

The Pliko can be used forward facing from birth in buggy mode, it can only be used in parent facing mode till baby outgrows the pramette http://www.mamasandpapas.com/search/?query=pliko

The Switch can be used rear or forward facing from birth http://www.mamasandpapas.com/search/?query=switch

I had one with dd4 and loved it. The parent facing pramette is great and it is very easy to use. I found it fits in most cars due to the umbrella fold, although I did start to find it bulky as she got older and ended up switching to a basic umbrella fold stroller instead.

Thanks for the advice, I thought pram choosing would be fun, but there seems so much to consider!
