Question for 2nd time mums or more. Do you have a different birth plan this time?

With my DD is was induced at 37 weeks due to me being diagnosed with cancer......I really missed the rush and excitment of going into spontanous labour. My labour was very clinical as I opted for an epidural and I was on 2 drips.

Well this time It is going to be diffrent (well I plan it to be) I am really looking forward to going into labour naturally, I am going to use a TENS machine and gas and air, I would love a water birth but as I am consultant led that might not be an option. But I do know I do not want an epidural!

Does anyone else want a totally different birthing experience this time?

This is twins so its going to be really different and very clinical, Im fine with that. If it had been one, i would have been trying again for a more natural experience that i wanted but didnt get last time.

I had no birth plan with Duck, and plan on having no birth plan with this one too I just feel that you really have no idea how things are going to go and you can't control what happens, so I don't want to set my heart on something that may have no chance in hell of happening! I just want to keep an open mind! That being said, I do have an idea in my head of what I would like in an ideal world. Preferably natural with no inducement, but if need be, then what can I do?

I had a home birth with a little gas and air, a tens machine and a birth pool. I gave birth in the pool. This time I want to go into hospital! Nobody understands why, but I just do!

Hi hun, I didn't have a birth plan with my son, and don't plan to this time.. All I know is I don't want an epi OR gas & air. I won't have gas and air again as it made me thirsty, feel sick & I don't remember much about my son being born, I guess it depends how you want it, some would say not remembering is good, but I felt like I missed out!

Hope you manage to have the birth you want this time! Sorry to hear you had cancer, hope you are much better now!
