Failed my glucose test!

Anyone fail their original one hour glucose test, but pass the 3 hour? I failed my test today by ONE point. Literally, my blood sugar should have been 140 or lower to "pass" and it was 141. Now I have to go back for a 3 hour test. I'm so upset

Yes, I failed my one hour, but passed my 3 hour when I was pregnant with my son. Granted, the 3 hour test wasn't fun, but it also wasn't too bad. Just bring something to keep you occupied.

That said, I do hope I pass my 1 hour this time, lol!

I had to take the glucose test early as I have family history. I failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour. Good luck to you.
I have to do the 1 hr again at 26 weeks

I don't even get the one hour test option; ours is the three. I have it on Wednesday.

I'm sorry you failed, and I hope you pass the next one. Pain that you have to go back, though.

Robin, I can't believe they don't even give you the 1-hr option! I mean, I guess it saves you having to do it twice...but UGH. Why put you through the mean one if it's not necessary?

I havent had mine yet, but with DD last year I failed both. And guess what they put a big scare on me, I had to prick myself 3 times a day and was put on a strict diet. I was so stressed out and I was wondering how am I gonna grow a healthy baby when my diet was so strict to a point where I had to count the grapes I eat It did not make sence to me also because I have never been overweight, I have been always slim and they told me that the baby could be born "big". Well I decided to just keep eating the way I was and just minimize the sugar where I can, I didnt eat to much chocolate or ice cream, I watched that. I had to fill out a paper with my prick number every day and give it to the doctor at each visit. I made up all the numbers and they would weight me and say "very good, youre going just with the right weight you're supposed to". DD was born at 37 weeks, healthy baby, 5lbs 3oz. So what was all the scare about?? This time if they make me do the same thing, I have a new doctor and I will say what I did and that I ignored the diet and ate what I would normaly eat and my baby came out fine!

I wasn't even aware until this thread that there were options....

Maybe they have lots of people fail the one hour but not the three, so they are just taking a step out of the way? I don't mind. I don't have anything better to do. I'm just pissed that I have to delay my Starbucks for the day.
