Lump in belly?!?

So when I lay on my back which is not often I have a lump on left side
of my abdomen (below belly button). When I listen to the baby on the doppler sometimes I hear him around the lump and other times on the other side so I don't think this is baby.

Does anyone know what this could be?

I often have a lump on one side or the other, mine is usually on the left too. Except it IS the baby because it moves.. and i feel baby come to the front, then the lump is there. Ive never heard of a lump that isnt a baby while your pregnant, if there was anything wrong your doctor would already have told you. I assume its your baby and he/she prefers that side of your belly. Its possible you hear the heartbeat somewhere else because the lump is a diffrent part of the baby (if it's his/her butt then you wont hear the hb there, if he/she turns around you would hear the hb there very lound) dont worry... i'm sure its your baby.

Sorry im laughing. Bet its your baby

Mine does it too, it sometimes feels really hard i always think that its my babys back pushed against it. Or could be uterus going hard as branston hicks can have started by now. Dopplers cause echos so i dont think it always coincides with exactly where babys position is. I used to get it more to left but its filling in now as im 24 wks x

Yep, baby's back or BH contractions! My baby is always on the right side of my belly, or completely horizontal. I think it probably has to do with where your placenta is (because that's where the baby is not!).
