Expired yogurt by 1/2 days?

I had ate a yogurt on Friday and Saturday before I noticed it expired on October 27th and it was 1 and 2 days after that date but was an accident. I'm so worried i hurt the baby. What does everyone think? I have no signs of food poisoning and that wAs 3 days ago.

Those dates are usually sell by or "best" if used by. You should be just fine with it only a day or two, especially since it didn't make you ill.

I agree it should be fine. My partner works in the dairy industry and these things can last a while after their date! A day or two is no big deal, especially if it looks and smells ok.
With meat I take a harder line though, I don't like going over the use by date with chicken.

I think you'll be fine, like the other poster daus-these dates are generally best before dates, i often eat yoghurts that are past their expiry dates so i wouldn't worry too much.Food poisoning would have shown by 24 hours after eating it x

I'm still eating yogurts up to 7-10 days out of date. I figure if it smells OK and it's not fizzing it's OK. That might sound terrible to some people, but i hate throwing food away that's still fine!
Meat would be a different story, however, I buy that from a butcher so it doesn't come with a use-by date and I have to use judgement anyway.

Plain yogurt is fine but I would be alot more cautious with flavoured or fruit bottomed yogurts. They smell fine but do not taste the same past the expiry date.

It was mixed and as soon as I noticed the date I threw the rest out. I doubt 1 day past the expiration has done me any harm but I will be more careful from now on. It scared me! But from my research 1 to 2 days over the date I don't think will do much harm. It never even caused anything bad to happen to me. I was just curious. Thanks everyone

I wouldn't worry. The date on the container is usually only "Sell By" when they have to have it off the shelves. As long as the yogurt wasn't growing anything, I'd say it was fine.
