Blood when blowing your nose ... anyone?

Hi

TMI sorry....

For the past few weeks I have been seeing blood when I blow my nose, however today it is worse and my nose really hurts.

I have read this is very common in pregnancy but does anyone have any remedies???

Thanks, xxxx

Keep in mind that it's also winter, so the cold weather will be drying your skin out. Thus when you blow your nose you have a higher chance of breaking the skin and rupturing small blood vessels, causing your nose to bleed.

As your nose is wear your blood vessels are nearest the surface in your body they bleed more. As your pregnancy progresses the blood vessels dilate to carry more blood cells and where they are near the surface they pop and break easier. It is perfectly normal and don't worry xxx

Well it just has a weird 'achy' feeling - I think like the others have said because it is winter and really cold here then that makes it far worse and it is probably really dried out.

Same here. I had a cold and it was much worse than.

I stil puke once in awhile, when I did awhile ago, my nose starting bleeding. My OH always tries to comfort me when I'm sick and saw blood in the toilet. He almost had a heart attack - lol.
