Yeah it doesn't sound like an outbreak to me, honestly. Especially if you have no sores or anything at all. Have you had any recurrences or just the initial outbreak? One way to tell if you're having a recurrence is when it's starting, you'll get a dull low back ache (since that's where the virus sits) and then you'll feel tingling sensations in the vaginal area where the sores would appear. And then they appear and it hurts and burns and then they scab over and go away, rinse and repeat.

It's no fun, that's for sure. I'm just so glad I haven't had anything in awhile. I'm terrified that stress from labor/delivery will cause an outbreak after the baby's born though & with how sore I'm going to be from that alone... I'm terrified haha. I don't know if that happens but still scared of it.
well, initially I had 2 tiny sores.. could barely see them, but I knew that's what they were.. and that's when I was really sick and feeling horrible; but, I went to the doctor like 2 days later and she said she couldn't see anything? but aside from that, no.. nothing at all

and same here.. it's gonna be uncomfortable enough after birth.. and outbreak would make things absolutely horrible

it hurt to pee so bad I was crying on the toilet, which is what made me look down below.. but the doctor couldn't see anything, lmao. so, I don't know if that's what it was for sure or not!
Hahah well I went to the doc during a full-blown outbreak (my initial one was real bad.) But some people don't get sores as bad as others so if you thought you saw them... then that was probably it, especially if there was nothing there when the doc looked. They can look like ingrown hairs, blisters or ulcers :/ NO fun haha.

If you've had any kind of outbreak or had a blood test diagnose it.

It does sound like sciatica to me.. You only get symptoms other than the sores on your first outbreak. Personally, my outbreaks are so mild now that I can hardly see any sores.

Just a little tip though, I've found acyclovir coldsore cream AMAZING for outbreaks.. Makes them go away after about a day! Even though it says not to use 'down there', I've never had a problem.

Also, my ob told me that there's only a 1-3% chance of passing it to the baby if the

Well, you really should get a test done. I'm surprised they didn't do it when first suspected just to confirm. The risks are really small for transferring it to the baby if it's active during delivery...but it has devastating effects on babies so why risk it. If you get it confirmed then you can take the medicine for a month until your due date to ensure no outbreak during delivery.
