This morning when i went to the bathroom i noticed a glob of really thick sticky mucus . It was about the size of a nickel and it was not the normal discharge i had early on in pregnancy .im just freaking out a lil and i will be calling my doc. First thing in the morning But in the mean time any advice /input is very appreciated .
Im just wondering if anyones experienced this early in pregnancy and went on to full term ?
I haven't had this happen personally but I've read quite a few threads on here with the same thing and the advice is: if it's normal color (whitish/clearish/even slightly yellowish) it's NORMAL to shed some of your mucous plug. If it's tinged pink or there's blood with it, then you need to call your doctor. If you notice leaking amniotic fluid with it, then you need to call your doctor or go to ER if it's at night.
But it sounds like it was just a part of the mucous plug shedding and that's normal! It replenishes
Hey hun, i had this a few weeks ago. It was a huge jelly blob thing. I rung my midwife who asked if i had sex in the last few days which i had. She said it was unlikely to be the mucus plug and more like a big glob of semen that had been up there for a day or 2. Gross i know but hope it helps
