Is this normal? I stood up and the crotch of my pants were soaked liked I had urinated on myself slightly. About the size of a dollar bill. It was a little sticky, no real clumps, and when wiping I noticed I was sticky too. It was definitely discharge, but I've just not noticed this before. I immediately started urinating when I was wiping as well...which of course made me freaked out and made me think it was amniotic fluid
Hard not to be slightly freaked out. No pain, no blood, baby is still moving.
Yeah, I've been getting this all the time from about 12 weeks. It's just discharge and possibly a bit of urine leakage. If you're worried, ask your midwife. If it's leakage, make sure you're regularly doing your Kegels. Otherwise, not much to be done except wear a light pad if it's bothering you, or change your underwear more frequently!
I've had some problems "holding it" when I cough really hard (which I have been since I have a cold now). But it wouldn't hurt asking your practitioner just to be safe. I wear pantyliners all the time now out of necessity and bring a few spares in my purse as well. I feel like an 80 year old sometimes lol.
Give your OB or midwife a ring. I don't want to scare you, but there is the SMALLEST chance that you are leaking amniotic fluid. DON'T PANIC! Keep an eye on it, and as others said, it very likely is just discharge and possibly a little urine. For the past few weeks, I have been "leaking" when I sneeze or cough.
We've all become like a bunch of octogenarians.
BUT I am a big believer in "better safe than sorry." Definitely doesn't hurt to ask.
I've been having a ton of discharge (it's never soaked my pj's but I do have to change my underwear twice a day, even though I wear panty liners) and last night I peed myself a little bit (that was a first).
But, like others said, maybe tomorrow give your mw or doctor a call just to let them know
I get gushes of clear or white discharge pretty frequently now, especially when I am walking the dog or otherwise being active. My OB told me if it was amniotic fluid it would be more a constant leak or drip where discharge comes out and then stops.....but call just in case, that's why they are there!
