horrific stomach pain but not cramping - maybe a bug?

Hi girls

have been fine so far with regards to the whole pregnancy but this morning i woke up at 6.20 am, to a pain that was under my ribs and went right down to stomach , sort of just under my belly button area. it wasnt like a period type cramping or anything like that that made me worry and it felt more like when your ill and you get gastric flu and have that ill feeling stomach ache?? if you know what i mean ? lol. it happened twice , and only lasted a couple of minutes - not the pain just in general . the pain itself only lasta few seconds. i layed down and went back to sleep woke up at 9

we all love a lay in ! and i feel fine.

I am constipated

sorry TMI i know, but my whole family was hit by a gastric type bug over the christmas period and i commented then how lucky i was that i was the only one who didnt get it !

since getting up ive felt LO's fidgeting and had a couple of kicks so think all is ok with the bubbas. do you think it could just be bug related?xx

First of all - congrats on your triplets! I'm having a hard time imagining how I'll do with just one - couldn't imagine three at once lol

I woke up a few weeks ago with terrible stomach cramps. Turns out I was just constipated. I've never really had that problem before (quite regular - tmi) so I kind of freaked out. I would think that since you felt the little ones kick, it isn't baby related and probably a bug or constipation. You could always call and run your symptoms by your doctor just for reassurance.

Hey hun

I think that sounds like constipation, my tummy hurts when I haven't been for a couple days and don't pass gas (tmi lol) mum has bought me something called fybirgel (wrong spelling maybe) its an orange or lemon flavoured drink we can use to help regulate ourselves

you drink one after breakfast and one after dinner for a couple days, and hopefully it will help make our bowels happy again lol. If you're worried about bugs just give your midwife a call, hope all is well
