Checking for ur cervix, could just cause un-needed worry if you dont know what your looking for, I wouldn`t be checking it unless your doctor said too.. But for the OP it`s better to go to A*E than stay home and wait it out, if your worried, get it checked out.

If your worried id go to a&e

Personally ive never felt the need to have a rummage up there and would die of embarassment having to explain to the receptionist what i was there for with a rume full of prople waiting to be seen.

Thanks for the advice, been put on bed rest until a more detailed scan can be given!

Lisab1986, it is pretty common for those who have had to actively TTC to be very aware of what their cervix is doing.

Xx

I agree with the TTC comment, I was constantly prodding at mine in the first few weeks to see what it was doing.

A PAP is very different, as they actually have to poke hard instruments up there a little bit which I suppose could dislodge your plug, though I'm not sure. My midwife checks my cervix manually every month, so just touching it isn't going to do any harm.

To OP: I would definitely get yourself down to A&E, even just to be on the safe side.
