Worrying about money :(

I am sick to death of the clowns OH works for, surely it is illegal he is working for way below minimum wage. He is lucky to get 50 a week for doing 6 days. He is 31 years old, school leavers are on more than that.

Thing is there are high earners there waving their pay slips in front of him to keep him there, although I do think the company are so underhand, is it not all bullshit?

I don't care if one man got 800 in a week, it is not a regular reliable wage and his money depends on the general public not slamming the door in his face.

I can't live like that. If he wants us to live together with Scarlett, he has to realise this pathetic company isn't going to get us anywhere, I will be on half pay for most of my mat leave, how on earth will that cover bills and a baby?

He would get more on the dole, it is shocking and really stressing and upsetting me because he won't even consider finding other work.

How can he bond with our daughter if we are living apart?

He just doesn't see it, he listens to the bullshit his bosses feed him to keep him and not the reality of life, WE NEED MONEY NOW. I can't afford, and shouldn't have to, pay for everything for our baby.

Hope you are ok hunny. You should ask your DH to find a better job! 50 a week is no way going to be enough to help look after you and a baby.. he needs a new job in my opinion. You shouldnt have to pay for everything for this baby and make sure he knows this, it may sound like you're asking him to do the impossible, but working at tesco doing thoose hours he could earn more!

try not to stress to much though hun, things have a way of working themselves out sometimes, hope you are ok tho xxx

Thanks,

I have told him a minimum wage job in any shop would give him more, and a regular guaranteed wage. He won't have it, they have brainwashed him into thinking he is going to be mega rich a year from now, moving him up to team leader etc. Funny that, his team leader still lives with his parents.

Or get a relative/friend to do it for you.

Thanks for that form.

Does it matter if it is cash in hand? The fact they said he can be earning 500 a week (I believe them, not), shouldn't there at least be a minimum for any job?

ah the joys of door to door pyramid sales!

- the sales men tredging the steets get pennies
- the team leaders get the above for their sales plus a good % of the pennies earnt by those under them (the sales men)
- the managers earn their money sitting on there arses from taking the majority of the money earnt from each sale made by the sales men and their team leaders

if each sale is worth 25 to the company its will be broke down like this (approximately)

office manager 16
team leader 6
sales rep 3

as far as the sales rep is aware (until he gets to team leader) the company gets about 6 per sale an he gets the biggest cut for his hard work - this is to make him think he is doing well an try an keep morale up

I worked for one of these companies for about 2 months (zenith force it was called in Wolverhampton) after making next to no money i went into the managers office when they were in a meeting an went through some his paperwork with another lad as we wanted to know why none of us were earning 500+ pw as promised! and why the manager was living in the attic when he claimed he was on 2k a week!

he needs to get out of that place asap!

Nobody likes to be made to feel like a mug, and if he admits to anyone that he has been taken in by a pyramid scheme that is exactly what he will feel. You are going to have to tread carefully with this one to get him the support he needs to get out and a new job without his pride being hurt.

One thing you could do is sit down with a budget sheet and work out exactly what you need to survive each month, and what you can guarantee to earn each month with your mat pay and his 50 a week. Perhaps seeing it in front of him in black and white where the cash shortfall is will be the wake up call he needs to start looking for a more suitable job.

Good luck

Thank you, so it is a pyramid scheme then, I have heard of those before.

They also do things like pay for their breakfasts, take them to the pub to boost morale etc, it is pathetic. Really winds me up.

You are right, I need to do this the right way. Show him what will happen if he carries on at this place. He won't live with his baby girl, I am not driving her round to his mothers the other end of town every time he wants to see her. Things won't change if he stays there.

Good luck, do you know the name of the company he works for? It may be worth googling them and seeing if there are any stories online about them

Hun if he is getting cash in hand (i.e committing tax fraud) they can pay him what they like. x
