i went to gp put of hours the other week because i got a green tinged mucas stringy discharge
and she said i have a water infection and possibly ab it of thrush and give me antibiotics and a cream for thrush an stuff but it said on the cream pregnant women cannot take it and i thought why did she tell me i could went im not ment to then i worried because i hadn't taken used it iv had trush before and it was not like this. iv heard mucas discharge can be normal but with the green tinge? i read it can be quite normal as pregnancy creates lots of differant hormones and discharge. but i saw it and i paniced because it kinda reminded me of when i was loosing my mucas plug last time around labour. i panic anyway as it is because i had a a stillbirth in September 2010 and im a panicer and worried the baby had moved much lately and got him checked and his heartbeat was fine i feel him not as much lately but i think thats because i constantly have trapped gas grrrrr driving me insaine. but have anyone else had this mucas green tinged discharge so nevrous ladies because i thought it had cleared up as i had it yesterday too but it was a lot clearer with basically no green tinge to it now today it looks the same as it basically did at the start im going the docs tomorrow to get a swab taken of it.and hopefully they can listen to the babys heartbeat. just need some advice girls help. i also read you can loose bits of your mucas plug but it builds back up i really pray its not my mucas plug and i pray i dont have an infection. maybe my water infection hasnt gone, thats what my fiance thinks it could be. but has anyone else got this or had this and what was it ? x
Could be part of your musuc plug, also could be an infection, especially if it has a smell to it.
I'd say go to the doctors, or midwife - ease your mind, don't stress yourself out!
If it was thrush you'd definitely know with the horrible itching.
It does sound like it, well when you get it checked out you will know ay, try not to worry until then - i know it's easier said then done but stressing yourself doesn't do any good either.
Hope all goes welll deary.
mandi- i had that recently and it was an infection. they treated it with an antibiotic thyat was oral called metronidazole. you will be ok sweetie. i panicked as well but don't just see doc and they can prescribe you something!!
I am having this everyone once in a while after I wipe and only when I wipe it's not very much but it is slightly light-green tinged, and stretchy-ish looking... but I am not too concerned I just took a weeks worth of antibiotics for something else maybe that is what caused it?
I had thrush when I first found out I was pregnant and had a greenish/yellowish discharge. I used a cream that the doctor prescribed me and it went away. Then about a month later I thought I was getting thrush back again and I took the empty box to the pharmacy to ask for the same thing. The pharmacist was shocked that the doctor prescribed me this cream while pregnant and refused to sell it to me as he said it was not safe to use while pregnant. So I would suggest calling your local pharmacy to ask if its ok. Sometimes doctors can be wrong.
