Cramps after eating


Hey girls

I've noticed quite a lot lately that I've been getting strong crampy/tightening sensations in my stomach after eating a large meal (seems to be after my dinner in the evening, not breakfast or lunch..). It doesn't "hurt" a such, it's just a really odd feeling and can get quite uncomfortable.

Just wondering if anyone else is having this and any thoughts what it could be?? Also noticed that I'm burping a lot in the evenings, maybe it's related?

Im having this alot too!!! I have no clue what is causing it but put it down to pressure bubs is putting on other organs and such? Im sure one of the other ladies will have a better theory!

I had this through last pregnancy from second tri, doc said it was colic, when it happened i had to drink peppermint tea and it went away fairly quickly, within about 5 mins or so. HTH xxx

Maybe jsut eaten too much? Our stomachs will be getting smaller as baby is getting bigger but we might not realise it untill weve eaten too much and become uncomfortable.

I get this too and was wondering what it is. I find once we have had out evening meal I go and get changed in to my pj's and this helps a lot butI know its only going to get worse as I get bigger , one of those lovely pregnancy things, take care XX

Haha glad it's not just me (don't mean that in a bad way lol)

It's definately not eating too much.. at the weekend I only had one slice of beef and a couple of spoon fulls of pasta and I got this cramping/tightening.

Me too!!!!

My eyes are always bigger than my stomach and I still have not learned that I cannot eat as much as I used to... but I keep doing it and thinking, why did I do that?!

I think it happens when you over eat and also if you eat quite fast you tend to swallow more air, and that results in the air / burping.

So try and eat smaller meals and eat them slowly (I will also try and follow my own advice from now on here haha).
