Wow, I shouldn't complain, my commute is 45 minutes on central line each way, still not enjoyable though! I totally agree, I feel panicky whenever I think about money for when I'm on maternity leave, thats what I'm trying to save so much now but keeps getting taken! I am literally not going to spend anything from now on! Also, my job is under threat of redundancy so I feel like I am hanging on desperately to keep it.

If you're on electric then it's not going to just be heating that's caused that bill. What about switching off appliances at the wall when you're not using them? Do you leave your mobile charger plugged in 24/7? All these things use electric when they're plugged in, even if when you not using them.

There are a few websites about that tell you how much electricity each electrical item you own uses, on average. I found it really useful and realised a big chunk of the electricity bill was leaving the desktop computer on all the time. It was costing an extra 30 pounds pcm!

Best money saving tip I have is to shop at Aldi! It makes ASDA seem extortionate and the quality is top notch! It really surprised me!
