growth pains or uti?

hi ladies, the past two days have been getting little sharp period like pains in what feels like sorry if this sounds disgusting but my vagina,and surrounding area. Its not in the sides of my tummy which i normly get when have cramping. Was wondering if anyone else has had this? could it be the uterus stretching/baby pressing on bladder or could it be a UTI. It doesnt hurt to wee but i have been going a hell of a lot more than normal recently :S

I think its likely just baby growing but if you are in any doubt and think it might be a UTI go and get it checked out. x

Yes i've been getting the same - some days more than others - but i've been assured it's just stretching bits accomodating the baby. I'm pretty sure we had a growth spurt last week because for a couple of days it was happening quite a lot. It's always worth a check-up for peace of mind if you're worried though, hun x

thanku, i have midwife appointment on tuesday and have to take a urine sample so will probably find out if theres something in my urine and will mention it anyway. hoping its just stretching pains. x

I get these too. Lower pressure in my back and uterus and sharp pains around those tender bits... but they come and go. If it was constant, or i had pain when peeing i would say maybe UTI. I'm sure its normal stretching.
