Choosing a pram is impossible.....

Argh, it really is. Pram, push chair, stroller, travel system, chassis, colour pack - some of these are totall new to me!!!

Anyway, my parents are buying us the pram and I have a budget of around £400, which I think is relatively acceptable as I would be reluctant to spend much more on something that once the baby gets it's use out of it, won't be much use to anyone as a lot of people are reluctant to use second hand.

So, mum and I spent today in pram shops. I really liked the Silver Cross 3d, which for £350 included the car seat, the foot muff, the changing bag, pretty much everything and more. Then I get home and read reviews and find out that the chassis isnt very stable and that there have been problems with the brakes. Ok, so I dont want to spend big money, but I also don't want to put my baby into a death trap.

So, then I go online for another look and come across a fantastic offer on a pram that I cannot find a great deal about. Ok, so the reviews might have put me off the last one, but the lack of reviews on this one is also unsettling.

This is it btw:

It is the Nurse Hello Luxe Formula, which once again comes with pretty much all I need (I think, I find out every day that I need more and more) and it is only £299, albeit reduced by 40%.

It has been awarded the "Which best buy" which can only be a good thing and of the few reviews I have found, they are mostly positive.

I guess I am just on asking for a bit of reassurance. Has anyone got this pram/buggy/travel system (whatever it is), know someone who has or can recommend something similar and within my budget.

I have a relatively small car (clio) and liked that this one folds down quite small.

I had a quick look but can't really find anything. There is the graco evo which looks nice but they don't have it in store and I'd like to see it before buying.

Urgh that's really difficult! I guess she thinks it's going to be a lovely surprise for you, but trouble is what one person would find useful another person would think it's completely impractical. I hope it's suitable for you

Joey, I have no idea about these things. I think about it for a while and then it gives me a headache so I leave it for a couple of weeks. It's getting to the point where we're going to have to start properly looking into it, particularly if we end up getting the iCandy Strawberry we're interested in, as it'll need to be ordered and will take a while to come into stock.

I have the silver cross 3D and i think its fab. Ive had four buggys so far much to hubbys annoyance! And my son is only 9 weeks old

Ive never had a problem with the Silver Cross 3d (apart from the hood falls down on the carry cot which can be annoying) and its the study-est buggy so far

I have the Quinny Buzz 3 from when I had DS. I first had a pliko pramette which was a good pushchair but it got rather heavy once DS turned one. Only downside to the Quinny is that you have to buy all the bits seperate, but I say that just because you are being given £400 that doesn't mean you can't spend over £400 if you have the money! Choosing a pram/pushchair etc. Is a tough decision but after your LO is born you'll see another you like & will want that one instead!

Hope you find one you like! X

i brought the mothercare nixi for my 1st and will be using it for this 1 as well it is good beacause it can be a pram and a stroller that can lay flat also very lightweight and easy to fold the one bad thing it is very narrow and my first was too wide for it by 18 months so had to by another stroller
