Severe pain in pubic area :(

About 3 weeks ago I started to feel "bruised" between my legs. The way I would describe it is if you haven't ridden a horse in a while and then you get back on, you're in pain the next day. Anyway I was trying to think what on earth I could've done to stretch it.
Basically the pain has just got worse and worse, and now it's difficult to walk and even sitting down is painful, so that I have to cross my legs to supress the pain. It feels like my pubic bone is being split in half and it also hurts a little on my inside leg - when I walk I have to take little steps and go slowly and the pain burns, it's like a stretched tendon kind of pain.
I have made a Dr appointment for Monday but anyone got any suggestions? I've been relatively lucky this pregnancy in that the only complaint I've had is lower back pain and sometimes my knees and hips hurting. It's been uncomfortable to sleep for weeks now.

Yeah defo sounds like SPD - its when the ligaments holding your pelvis together start to stretch in preparation for giving birth

You'll prob get a support belt to wear & some physio therapy but im afraid it doesn't usually go away until after your baby is born xx

Sounds like SPD, its really horrible pain, and sounds very much like what you are describing. I would see the doctor and mention this. They can help you, even giving you physio to help or telling you what can alleviate the pain.
I really hope you get better soon.
Hugs xxx

Thanks dannydustcart, I just googled SPD and this sounds like it. It's definintely not normal, I suffered endometriosis for many years so I know pain and this is extreme!
It's a bugger because I don't have much choice about walking around.

I had this, was very painful so I know where you coming from. It's something about the pelvic bone being stretched preparing for the big day, I took alot of warm baths as I wanted to avoid pain killers. Mine went away on its own, but if I could of got in to see the doc I would of. Mine still hurts from time to time, especially when I lift my right leg. Let us know how you get on xox

It pisses me off too that I mentioned the back pain as soon as I was pregnant, then the hip pain and nothing was done really - they did send me to the physio but it was just a crappy group thing where you got no indiviual attention. Guess I will go private.

That's interesting, I've noticed it hurts more when I raise one leg than the other, think it's the right too (not going to try it out now!)

I have to sit down to put my knickers on, or my trousers, anything that involves lifting my right leg, I have to sit down to do. x
