I went swimming a lot throughout my first pregnancy and wore a bikini up until i didn't really have the energy to swim anymore (probably from about 36/37 weeks). I never even thought that people might find it gross or anything, haha, but i did used to get a lot of stares! I have lots of tattoos though so it was probably the people looking at a bit of both....not to mention the fact that towards the end i wore a mismatching bikini set because my bum got too big for my normal bikini bottoms. Hehe. I must have looked a bit funny wearing a leopard bikini top and stripey bottoms!
I don't see the problem with pregnant women wearing bikinis. It's not a disease to cover up, and to be honest, I think if you can sunbathe topless and people won't say anything, then why should a belly be a problem? Bbaby bumps are much more natural than bloody nipple rings.
