Numbness in legs when sleeping

I am trying to get into the habit of lying on my side when I sleep. However, I wake up several times a night and often feel that my legs are a bit numb. It's not so bad that it is pins and needles but I am aware of it and have to roll over onto my other side. Has anyone else felt anything like this and was there anything you found helpful in preventing it?

Yep I've had this, and cramps in my legs. It's supposed to be a lack of potassium and/or calcium, so try a banana and a glass of milk before you go to bed. It's worked for me

I get this, just when sat on the sofa!! I am very fidgety and feel like I have really bad circulation as my legs just go heavy and slightly numb!!

been told it might be coz heart is pumping for 2 so my circulation is suffering!!

I get this and find I am constantly moving and having trouble sleeping, Im getting better at sleeping on my left but its hard with the pains in my leg. I have a disability with my left leg anyway and had put it down to my condition but now its both legs so know its something else. I will defiantly try milk before I go to bed so thank you Oursarah. Hope it settles down for you too, Take care XX
