I usually just count backwards from my due date by month instead of weeks. Months isn't as accurate cause you can be further or earlier, I think thats why docs and midwives don't caculate by month.

Because there are sometimes almost 5 weeks in a month you will never get it quite right... Plus we are pregnant for 9 months (but that does not include the 2 weeks we count from period to conception). I got myself so confused by this too and now just stick to weeks!

5 months is 23 weeks, 6 months is 27 weeks when you move to 3rd trimester. It's because most months aren't exactly 28 days, so they have to round them up to make sense. If months were exactly 4 weeks long, you'd be pregnant 10 months rather than 9. Hope that makes sense!!

Months are confusing. Some say women are pregnant 10 months, but that would only be if every month only had 4 weeks, which they don't. 10x4=40. 40/9=4.45 weeks in a month

And there's a difference between being 6 months and being in your 6th month. Just like a baby's age....A 6 month old would be in their first year, but they're not quite 1 year yet. My son - he's in his 3rd year of life but he's 2.5. Make sense? So if you're 6 months you're in your 7th month.

I tell people weeks...It's a whole lot easier. And if it's a women who has had a baby they will know.

You're pregnant for 9 complete months. This site explains it better than any other I've seen.pregnancy length?

I use a personal preganacy calendar provided on a website that calculates it and has everything to a t for instance in you want to know how many months or weeks you will be on MArch 5 or etc it will tell you check it out . It helped me alot.

the calendar you will see is my personal one but u can sign uo and create your own, I am gonna print mine out too.
