I voted C Section.

With your history, i would rather plan for a C Sec than need an emergency one.

I am in a similar dilemma but for different reasons. it is a big decision.

Aw poor bubs (and poor you!) my head says 'c-section' but my heart says natural, and blieve that your body WILL work properly, www.midwifethinking.com has some great articles (look in the archives) I have a lovely fairytale thought that without fear everything will work in harmony (www.brithwithoutfrearblog.com has loads of great birth stories, not just natural, but all sorts of births)

x

I think you should attempt to do it the way nature intended. If it doesn't work, and you need assistance, you can opt for a csection then. If that's what you want at the time.
I've had three csections and although they are probably not as bad as you think they bloody hurt. They affect your fertility afterwards, and it's hard enough to look after one baby/child after an op but two newborns plus two more kids will be a bit of a handful to say the least!! Also you will be in hospital for days afterwards and I missed my kids like mad.

My thinking is plan for the worst but hope for the best - it may go smoothly but have safeguards on place just in case.

And make sure your mw knows your anterior lip history so you aren't told to push against a lip again!!

I usually lean towards vaginal birth, but seeing your photos, history, and having twins I would tell someone to consider c-section. Its a tough one. I've always feared c-sections and I never want one, so its hard for me to tell someone else to go for it.

Ultimately, it's your decision. I would be torn in your position. I am a strong believer in natural, vaginal births, with a c-section only being consented to if absolutely necessary. On the other, hand, with your history, I could see why you would be nervous about even attempting a vaginal delivery. I am not going to vote in the poll, since it's not my babies or my body and I believe you and your doctor (and your OH, of course) are the ones who need to make this decision.

OMG!! What a sin! Whatever decision you make I'm sure it will be the right one, at least you have a lot of time to really think about it. Good luck! x

Reading your history and the fact you're having twins, my vote is for c-sec.

I think because you are having twins, you may need a c section anyway if one doesnt turn or something like that. I really would opt for a c-section. Its not the easy way out but it does mean less complications for the babies. More recovery time though- but in your mind you have to consider whats more important? Best of luck xx

P.s. I'm also very scared of births with intervention. I'm terrified of c-sections but i think with the right reassurance and keeping calm during would make all the difference xx
