25 Weeks & only gained 1lb in weight :(

So I weighed about 7 and a half stone pre-pregnancy (I'm very slim & short, always have been) and at my 12 week checkup I was weighed & was 7stone 10 lb.
My midwife doesn't weigh me as she comes to my house for every appt & I have no scales to weigh myself but got round to doing it today at Boots on their electronic ones that do height too.

My mum gasped & I couldn't believe it when it said 7 stone 11lb! 1lb weight gain! Umm... can't be right! As you can see from my avatar, my bump is big & I am little. I eat the same amount as before, my appetite never increased.

I guess my weight gain is very low??? I'm sure my midwife will tell me off tomorrow right??

OH isn't happy & said I must be losing weight if baby weighs 1lb already. I have to have a growth scan in 3 weeks due to my low B.M.I but I'm worried I'm going to be told off??

I don't NOT eat, I eat plenty, always have done, I'm one of those that can eat anything I want & never gain weight (sorry lol), I don't "eat for two" although I have stuffed my face on the odd occasion lol, I didn't have morning sickness & a little ashamed to say I NEVER exercise, like EVER.

What do I do??

Wow, this one is complicated... i would say as long as the baby is gaining properly not to worry about it... My best friend has lost 26 pounds in 2 months and he doctor said it was ok...

I wouldn't stress over it too much, hun. For one, all scales are different and you'll get different reads even on the same scale throughout the day, it could even be a difference of -/+ 4 lbs in one day, from eating, BM, etc.

And even if you only gained 1 lb, stressing about that isn't good for the baby, either. I'm sure the midwife will have advice on what you should do if you need to gain more. And from looking at your tummy, looks like baby is growing fine, but I hope your growth scan shows that, too! Good luck!

It sounds like you're doing all the right things. I don't think you should worry too much. Just keep doing what you're doing and the weight will take care of itself.

Thanx ladies! Evil Google convinced me I should have put on about 10 lb & said it should be 1lb a week weight gain in the 2nd Tri!
I'll still mention it to midwife but growth scan is booked so no more worrying xx

If you never exercise and are thin your body probably had lots of fat on it to draw from as your baby has been growing.

I hope the growth scan goes well for you. Your [pic definitely looks like all is well!

Everyone is different, as well as every scale being different too. Your growth scan will tell You how your baby is doing and there's no 'magic' number that you're supposed to gain. As long as the baby is fine and you are fine I wouldn't worry.
