| Help, I need advice again!
I am having another medical worry which is causing me concern and I was wondering if anyone can help with this before I speak to a professional? This might be a bit tmi, sorry in advance! (I am 18 weeks today)
A few weeks now I have had a burning feeling 'down there' which is very painful and uncomfortable (not 100% sure if it is internal or external, but I'd say internal as I have been feeling pains as though they are deeper inside). I have tested negative for a UTI and I was given canesten in case it is an external infection like Thrush (they never even examined me which I thought was weird).
I've been using canesten for a few days now and still the same, gets worse at points before calming down again. I posted the other day about sharp shooting pains I have been getting down my cervix and after advice from lovely ladies on here and the maternity assessment unit, I think they were just growing pains, however they were also 'burning' and 'stingy' too and I can't help but worry there is something really wrong down there which could cause harm to the baby if left untreated as this has gone on a while and isn't a UTI, and I doubt it is thrush otherwise Canesten would have helped.
I am also just a little concerned that it might be BV (Bacterial Vagninosis) which I've heard can cause 2nd trimester miscarriage if left untreated for a long time.
Can anyone give me some advice, or have expeienced similar with constant burning down there which canesten isn't relieving and isn't a UTI? I am going to the drop in clinic at a local medical centre which deals with female issues tomorrow morning to get it seen to as my GP and maternity assessment unit don't seem to be bothering, but would appreciate any advice on here?
Thanks!
