Anyone finding it hard to book their appointments?

I ave rung about 4 times a day for the last 2 weeks to get my 16 week app. I am now nearly 18 and will need to book my 20 weeks soon

I am desperate to speak to a MW face to face as i have had to take alot of cocodamol and ibuprofen in the last week with a terrible tooth and jaw infection. The tooth is now out but i am left with lots of suppuration, continued agony(she grazed and cut so much of my gum as it was so difficult to get the tooth out due to horrenodous pus) and i have lost 5 lbs in weight because i can only drink smoothies and yogurts. And the pain makes it hard.

I just dont know what else to do. I have left continued messages but no one gets back to me. I know they are busy but this is a joke. I have laos left messages explaining my predicament and the painkillers that i am regularly taking along with antibiotics but again, nothing

I ring the other departments to put me through but that gets me no where either.

What do i do?

I went to the GP last night and he refused to give me anything (but the cocoadmol and ibuprofen that i am alreday taking) until he saw my mouth! He then prescribed me two days worth of 30mg codeine which is very strong.

I really need a professinal to show and talk face to face with

I'm so sorry, hun! Did your doctor recommend that you take ibuprofen? I've heard it should never be taken while pregnant! My appointments are always scheduled a month ahead. When I am leaving my 12 wk, they set up my 16 wk. I'm going to my 20 wk next wk and when I am leaving they will set up the next one. You should go straight to their office in person and stay until they put you down for an appt. you should also cOmplain about not receiving a return phone call yet.

Thanks hun

Ibuprofen is acceptable if needed but only before 31 weeks. It is the third tri where it is an issue.

Having said that, i dont want to be taking anything at all.

I had such an awful labour and postnatal experience at this hospital with my daughter i am so glad we are moving at 28 weeks and i can go elsewhere.

It is only 30 minute walk away so i may just walk there with LO today and chain myself to the antenatal desk and show off my gorey mouth to them.

I serioulsy think i need a surgeons opinion on my jaw but i need someone at the hospital to refer me.
