it is different from what our grannies and women before that were told to do.

I didn't accuse anyone of anything by the way. Made that very clear.

If you want to be offended, go ahead. Someone asked for advice, I gave it to the best of my knowledge.

Clearly you want to find something to be offended by. I did correct myself and say that by blankets I meant heavy ones, like duvets and such.

and having kids doesn't make one a good parent, just saying.

so you dont have kids so clearly you dont know or have looked after a baby. i thought so we all know not to use duvets were not stupid.
we were talking about blankets NOT duvets!
and you go on a tagent about smoking and drinking

what was your comment about? having kids dont make a good parent think your on a completly different level here to everyone else.

yes we know no duvets wernt asking about that you made your point leave it at that.

you're being ridiculous. there is no reason to attack me like this.

you don't know one thing about me or my experience with children, so get off your high horse.

It's such a horrible mistake to confuse "blanket" and "duvet", isn't it? English isn't my first language and I do mix up things once in a while. That doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else and I did correct myself multiple times now.

And again, I did not accuse anyone of anything, so there is absolutely no reason to treat me like this.

Obviously poor choice of comparison hun its best to let this stop here high hormones and all that. I find most things become more obvious for new moms when the baby is here.

My daughter was an autumn baby it was warm so she had on lots of sleeveless vests and socks with a thin blanket to swandle

Sorry to have caused any dispute through my question but this really is why I'm confused, I no times have changed and so many different people are suggesting different things and I think it is understandable people have different preferences! I just wondered what you as indivual would use so tha you for any suggestions. I will look into cellular blankets and the swaddles, thank you.
