so upset-babybond gender scan-pics added

So we drove for 4 hours total to cardiff from where we live, spent £50 in fuel, to go for our gender scan, been waiting so long and been so excited as my 13 week pics were so crap, so drove all that way cooped up in the back of a car with my toddler to get there and be ushered into the tiniest room I've ever seen, so tiny you can't have more than 2 people there to be scanned and out of the room within 6 mins and told she thinks its a girl, but I'll get better pics at the nhs 20 week scan so they'll be able to tell me!!!! Wtf?? I've paid £80 to be given pics that I don't even want to put up they're so crap, can't make anything out, can't put any in a frame, the profile one is all blurred and I'm just so gutted! They were rushing as the lady before me was late so they sent me in first, no here's the nose, etc,no conversation about what she was looking at at all, no just in and out, husband is fuming, I came out and just cried.

aw, sorry you had such a bad experience. Obviously I'd tell you to demand another scan for free, but you probably won't want to go all that way again, right? I'd still complain to them...maybe you can at least get some money back?

Again, so sorry your scan was that bad. Would you maybe like to post the pictures, so people on here can guess? (not me though, I have no idea what they're all looking at! )

Oh that sounded awful so sorry for u! I went to babybond Glasgow and they were fantastic, room had a leather sofa and leather chair for guests to see scan also, I was only 8 weeks and she spent a lot of time. I would put a complaint in writing to the head office! You definately deserve a refund! X

That's all I said to my husband on the way home was I wished we'd tried there, I had a bad time with Babybond last time I was pg so about 2 years ago now when the first moved to the site where they are now but as they offered a peek at 3d hubby said to take the chance to use them again, I had to ask her as she was starting to clean me up to have a look it 3D, she said she'd forgotten, we literally had a peek that was it! Wish we hadn't bothered to be honest, won't be using them again!

I had a babybond scan, and they are meant to be at least 10 minutes.
I would put in a complaint and try and get another scan or a refund.
I used the one in Bristol (not sure which way was your 4 hours?) and they were brilliant.
If close enough I would see if you could get one there. Hope you get it sorted x

I'll upload them after little one has gone up, they didn't give me any potty shots at all just a smudged profile, 2 of a hand and one of a distorted face.

Oh no, that's terrible! I had my gender scan at 16 weeks with Babybond in Maidstone and they were really good. The people with the appointment before mine overran slightly because their baby had his or her legs crossed so they came out to drink some hot chocolate and have a walk around and then I went in.

They went through everything. Very thorough. Did all the measurements, showed me the potty shot, showed me the baby's face front on, then they did the sneak preview. We were in there for quite a while and got lots of pictures and I also paid extra for it to be on DVD.

I had my husband and mum with me and there was plenty of room for them.

I'd email them and complain. It's not right that you should come away feeling disappointed. Hopefully they'll offer you another scan free of charge - although it obviously isn't round the corner from you so not sure if you'd want that anyway? But definitely complain and see what they say xxx

Oh no, what a shame!

I can echo what many of the other posters have said - complain! I went to Babybond Glasgow and they were absolutely fantastic. You're paying for something better than the NHS - make sure you get your money's worth or your money back.

Hope you get it sorted. x
