Anyone with progesterone on the low side make it to 2nd trimester?

Hi there. At 5 weeks my progesterone was 12.4. It is within "normal" but on the lower end of normal. They said I could use progesterone therapy, but now I've read that this therapy may cause hypospadias if we have a baby boy. Scary! I'm leaning toward doing nothing or taking some extra B6 (my prenatal already has B6)...

Did anyone have lowish levels of progesterone and do fine? So many people don't even check that I wonder if I'm freaking out over nothing. I have not had any bleeding or other problems.

I did and had to use the suppositories up until 12 weeks, it has saved this pregnancy and also my last pregnancy. I have a healthy 5 year old and now I'm 18 weeks and have a lil one with a very strong heart beat and everything looks just fine...

My friend was on progesterone supplements from conception until 16 weeks and her baby boy is fine

I was on it for a month because I started spotting and I have PCOS and my dr thought my progesterone was dropping. I would take it if it's low because low progesterone can cause a miscarriage. I am not trying to scare you at all but thats what the dr told me.

Yeah, I'm a little concerned. I mean, it's still within "normal range" but it's on the low end. I can go pick up the script and start today if I want. I don't want to lose the little one. I could wait a week and test again. So much to consider!

Looks like the product is Crinone gel 4%. I think I'm going to go for it. I would hate to know I didn't do it and the pregnancy failed as a result. Thanks for your feedback!

I was on progesterone pessaries from 3 weeks until 16 after suffering multiple miscarriages.
I was never told if my prog was low or not; if you have any concerns i would speak with your doctor about being put on the pessaries... i found them a great help and very reassuring!!

Blessed ~ As you know from the last thread that I just finished taking progesterone, I have made it to the second trimester. I will be 13 weeks tomorrow, and dr thinks without the progesterone, I probably would have miscarried.

That was the same thing I was on, it works wonders. Alittle messy but it did the trick. I quit spotting and me and my little girl are happy and healthy now

i had a previous miscarriage so the doctor tested my progesterone levels early this time. i was 6 weeks pregnant when my progesterone levels came back. they were a 7.5!!! i thought i was doomed. i was so depressed and just knew it was too late for this baby.... but here i am, 13 weeks and going strong! we have heard the heart beat a few times and seen the baby already!! i finally got to stop taking the progesterone yesterday!! i hated taking those things!!! so don't lose hope! it's a very common thing! the doctor kept stressing for me to not worry, she said it's low but it's still fine. she was right!

I got tested for progesterone after 2 m/c, and mine was really low too. I used the suppositories til 14 weeks, and had no problems with them. THey are messy, but I used them at night so not as bad. I am sure it helped this pregnancy, and gave me peace of mind knowing Iwas doing everything I could do to help the baby stick
