mothercare baby plan

Hello,

i am a bit ahead of myself as i am only 10 weeks pregnant but i have seen the pram we want and it is currently on offer in mothercare. Obviosuly we don't want to buy it this early (as you only have 28 days to return it should you need to, plus we would rather not have to store it for the nect 6 months.). but i have been looking at baby plan..... does anyone have any recent expereince with this?. Do they price match throughout, so for example say my pram cost me £400 now, but in two months went down to £350, would they lower my price or would i have to pay the £400 it was when i signed up?

I know that on baby plan they are good and should you need to cancel for whatever reason they give you your money back less £10 admin fee.

any recent experience of babyplan would be great.... also is it only limited stock that is included in the plan or can you include most big stuff?

Thanks in advance

Dawn

I don't know much about this I'm afraid as I haven't started properly baby shopping yet, but we did go to Mothercare to look at nursery furniture and the shop assistant explained the baby plan to us. From what I gathered, they price match throughout, so if the price is dropped in the future then you would pay the lower price (not the price it was when you signed up). Hope this helps!

Mothercare were trying to sell the baby plan to me and confirmed to me that if the price goes down once you take the baby plan out they will sell you it at the lower price.

If I were you though I wouldnt use the baby plan unless you are positive that you wont change your mind about the pram you want. As you have another 7 months left in your pregnancy you never know what you might come across during that time which you might like better. There are loads of great deals always popping up from place to place.

You can only include the stuff from the baby plan book in the baby plan (there is a book separate to the mothercare one thats for baby plan stuff.)

Hope this helps. x

Yes they price match. They encourage you to do a search instore before you open your plan ... atleast our sales guy did. We bought the Quinny Buzz 4 but we got everything lower than it was at Mothercare because we price matched. However, we got a bargain on it elsewhere with lots of accessories so we cancelled our plan. Got all but our admin fee back.

I think 10 weeks is a little early purely because you can change your mind so many times before LO arrives! xx

They definitely Price match, they are brilliant, Mamas and Papas won't do this and won't even sell most stuff at sale price if your putting it on your baby plan.

they will price match. they are fab!

Mamas and papas are nice to but they have slightly stricter rules than mothercare.. e.g mother care you must be paid up 10 days minimum before delivery Mamas and Papas is 28 days but both are great!

I have one at both places..

I would say that you will change your mind so much in the next few months.. i was told i was early in setting up a plan at 18 weeks :P

Thanks for all the lovely advice ladies.

I think we may wait a while then, especially if they do price match if the item goes lower. it's just so hard knowing that the pram, car seat etc we want is £100.00 cheaper right now, but then again i am wondering if it will go in the sale again later in the year..... £100 saving is pretty impressive. Guess i will talk to DH tonight about it.
