Can heartburn make you sick?...

I have had a awful time with morning sickness, was really bad until 20weeks then it dissapeared for 2 weeks came back for a bit at 22weeks then went again for couple weeks came back at 27weeks and away again for another 2 weeks came back last late last night 29weeks. following a pattern? lol
but it was horrendous till 20weeks.

anyways last night i had heartburn from at 7pm till 2am when i went bed.
before bed i threw up a rediculous amount of fluids that i had drank was sick 5 times in the one sick sesh

but it was a lot like projectile vomit. im just wondering if heartburn can make you throw up like that? i had a lot of heartburn with my 2nd but didnt make me sick but only ever had it a few times this time.

heartburn or a bout of morning sickness again?

yikes!! Thats bad

Yeah just lately I've been suffering from heartburn, but it seems to hit me later in the day and then alot at night. It hasn't made me puke, but has brough acid up a few times. No fun!

Whats acid? is that when you bring up a little sick but it goes back down? lol that happend couple times last night x

ooooo i too am suffering with hb and it's no joke i have it worst at night too and esp when i lean over uggh.i am fortunate though that i only get it when i'm pregnant.my poor oh suffers terribly with it and it makes him feel quite ill,he does drink milk when he has it as that seems to soothe it alittle.he's tried all the over the counter stuff but has never found it very effective

I havnt had it bad this time. i cant drink milk its disgusting lol just wondered if it cam make you sick but had never been sick with it before x

Yup, I'm finding that when I have heartburn, my tummy gets full of acid and it sparks off a pukey session....sorry tmi maybe

Like stomach acid, the stuff that helps break down food I guess.. it slowly creeps up to my throat, usually it goes back down except for a few times. yuck!

Yip it can! I get heartburn and reflux (where the acid comes right up from your stomach and you can feel it in the back of your throat) and that makes me really sick

Try taking some gaviscon liquid. I was also recommended to sleep sitting up because it keeps the acid down the way - gravity! But there is nothing harder than sleeping sitting up!
