short cervix

I had my 20 week scan today, baby is healthy! However, I was told I have a short cervix and that has a possibility of causing premature labor. So, the doctor put me on progesterone suppositories and weekly ultrasounds. Anyone else have the same issue?

hmm' I did know progesterone was useful after 13 weeks I had loss due to preterm and I wonder if the progesterone supositories would be beneficial this time?---I do know they were conducting a study in Canada on women using it in late pregnancy but the report isnt complete yet.
