Wish me luck! (mildly OT)

Starting the baby's nursery today... need to get everything painted up since we have people coming to lay carpet down in a few days. DH is at work so I'm left alone with spackle/putty, and paint and a general idea of how to do it Mind you we just bought a 201 year old farm house, that had very minimal upkeep beforehand... so I'm hoping I don't run into any huge problems.. but the walls are pretty rough in some areas so we'll see! I'm just happy to finally be getting it started we have the furniture and everything laying around in massive boxes taking up room everywhere. How's everyone else's coming along??

just remember when your painting the walls do it in a w shape it will help you even out the paint on the wall and you wont have any lines

Really? I'll definitely give that a try! Anymore tips ladies? Maybe I can actually impress DH when he gets home instead of handing him an even bigger mess than what he left this morning

Good luck! I haven't started on a nursery yet. Actually, I don't have room for a nursery. I never actually did any decorating since we've always lived in rentals but always wanted to. Hopefully we'll have a place before this one is born and I can do a little decorating. Have fun.

I've got the nursery painted.....thats about it! I also painted the dresser which will double as a changing station as well. I told DH I wanted him to remove the old rod from the closet and install a closet organizer but the chances that will get done anytime soon are slim. I'm sick of going into the nursery and having it look like a bomb hit it with tools everywhere and such. I managed ti change out the light fixture in the nursery and in DD's room this weekend though........Baby steps......It will get done before september
