Gender scan 14 weeks and 4 days!!

I am 14 weeks and 4 days along and my gender scan is this afternoon! I am so excited. I know that the possibility of her not seeing the gender is something that could happen. But I also started wondering what if she is wrong? Is 14 weeks too early to have a gender ultrasound? I know not every ultrasound is 100% certain, even at 20 weeks. But I was just wondering how many people had an early scan done around 14 weeks??

I had mine at 16 weeks, confirmed last week that it was right.

I never believe it though really. Not 100%. I wish I had waited until 20 weeks x

That's very early I went for 1st scan at 14 weeks and they couldn't tell ( gender looks same then) I went for a private scan at 17 weeks + could defo tell was a boy

Well now I am worried. I guess I shouldnt even go then... but the ultrasound tech was very confident she could tell. She says she does this all day every day and she is very well trained at what she does. She said 14 weeks and 4 days should be great to find out the gender.

Now I won't believe anything she says

i know people who found out at 13 weeks. i dont think 14 weeks is too early at all, im having mine at 15+5

I had a scan at 14+5 and they couldn't tell me the gender, but that may have been because baby had it's legs crossed. They said they can usually tell with certainty after 18 weeks.

Also, on the in gender site the tech said that at 14 weeks the bits can look like a boy or girl depending on the angle.

I would go to the scan because it's always nice to see the LO. If they tell you blue or pink I'd bet on it being somewhat accurate but wouldn't start buying blue or pink until it's confirmed later on. GL at your scan!

It's always nice to see baby whether or not you find out gender yet
