anyone under consultant care?

I've been put under consultant care i have my first appointment in a few weeks time. Anyone else ?
I'm assuming it was due to my bp and induction with my 1st as i was in and out of hospital and ended up having protein in my wee and something was wrong in my blood so induction was set for due date, then moved to 39 weeks then i fained at 38w 1d and was induced that night.

I'm under consultant care because I have a higher BMI and a family history of diabetes, not diabetic myself. I saw them on Monday when I had my scan but they don't want to see me again now until my 36th week.

they will put you under consultant care if you had previous problems I have shared care because of hypothyroid and a previous preemie. All it means is you will be seen a few times through your pregnancy at the hospital to keep an eye out for same issues. You can request to be transfered to midwife care if you prefer but sometimes its better to have the two.
