3 hour GD test tomorrow - any tips?

I have mine tomorrow, and will have to start fasting in three hours so currently eating!

Really don't want to do it as I am a total wuss with needles!

Any tips or things to eat now that might make tomorrows results good? I've heard walking helps, anything else?

Has anyone else had heir GD test this early? I will be 17 weeks tomorrow and am getting it as have two family members with type 1 diabetes and have a raised bmi

Yeh I have a feeling I will fail it! Eugh, really don't want to have to inject myself. I went to the doctors this week has have been really dizzy and she wanted to do the finger prick test there and I had took her five minutes before I would give her my finger!

i know the thought of injecting frightens me too. but on a plus side if you do have GD and they pick it up and control it, it means that baby wont be big and has a lower risk of being obese in childhood. also they have a higher risk of jaundice if the mother has GD and its not picked up. as long as my little girl is ok thats the main thing. iv had no other symptoms and never had any sugar or anything in my urine upto now so fingers crossed we both pass! xxx
