I am only going to buy 1 newborn outfits and around 4-5 for 0-3 months

I know we will be given lots of outfits and presents and baby will most likely just were sleepsuits during the day and only were an outfit if someone was visiting or if we were going somewhere.

I haven't read the rest of the replies (bit pushed for time today!) but I know exactly how you feel.

I'm going to be a single mum and my income is awful. We're starting to plan buying things as and when as leaving it all closer to the time isn't going to be affordable for me.

We're getting a lot of stuff second hand (my cousin has just had her baby, and a couple friends whose kids are under a year old) and I know what you mean about not just wanting to have to get basics; I want my baby to be special and spoilt as he/she deserves.

I was advised to look in Asda. There isn't one near me, but they have a great baby website and the clothes are fantastic value! Even the Disney branded stuff (really cute rompers and suits with Thumper/Bambi etc on them). Tesco is also good value for money and Matalan do a gorgeous range of clothing if you have one near you? (Or look online!).

For nappies, I've been sworn that Aldi newborn nappies are brilliant and a fraction of the cost of name brands. I was also looking at the Just for Bums range that come from Kiddicare; it's £20 for a whole month's supply of nappies which I think is a great price and all the reviews I've read rave about them and say they're better than Pampers.

Please let me know if you find anywhere else with lovely things on the cheap as I'm very penny conscious at the moment and could do with a shove in the right direction too!
