Around your due date.

I was supposed to get one at 40+2 but she said there was no point as my cervix was tightly closed and far back so I wasn't ready. I eventually got one at 41 weeks (and went into labour that night)

For me it was any appointment that was after your due date, I can't remember exactly when I had one with ds I think I may have been 40+1, never worked for me even though I was 1 and a half cm dilated when she did it i still went to 9 days over! Xx

if its your first baby they tend to leave you go for a week or so (well mine said that lol) but if its your 2nd or more they usually wait maybe a few days. I was due my sweep the same day that i ended up going into labour lol. I went into labour during the night and felt bad that i had missed my appointment cos i hate waiting around so dont like to have others waiting on me lol xx

Just to add depends on your midwife too! My midwife is only at my doctors on a Wednesday, I went 4 days over with my daughter but didn't have an appointment when I was overdue to have a sweep xx
