really painful to walk at 23 weeks?

hey girls, this could be making a mountain out of a mole hill as i seem to get really worked up over the slightest thing recently,
but for the past about 5 weeks, ive found that even walking for a minute at a normal pace gives me the most excruciating stitch in my stomach/side area, and before i got pregnant, if i stopped and stood still the stitch would go away, but every time i walk anywhere for any amount of time at any speed i get this horrible stitch and i honestly end up walking like i need a zimmer frame (clutching my sides and hobbling as slow as a snail). does anybody else get this and what could it mean? xxx

Hiya

Yep i've had this come on in the last week or so. It's like a stitch feeling under my bump normally on the right hand side. Very painful and it only calms down if I hold my bump.

I think it's just stretching pains!

Joy x

I've had this today funnily enough and googled it. Some people had said it could be SPD which I googled. I'm not sure if this is what I have though but I do have some of the symptoms, like pain in my legs when I walk up the stairs and I've also read that it can cause pain when sleeping, like when turning over - which I do have and I often wake up and my bump aches. I also have backache every now and again x

It sounds like stretching pain to me. If its all the time maybe some prenatal stretching could help you out?

If its just when you've been really active or while your walking for exercise a support band may help ease some of the pain if its just the weight from the uterus pulling. I find even my bella band can make a difference when I am out and about.
