Thing I loved most about it is from a very young age Lewis.knew what different foods looked and tasted like, so could identify what he liked to eat
Hopefully plan on doing same as this I think. My sister did this and her kids eat everything thats put down to them and have a very good, healthy and wide ranging diet. x

I'll be breastfeeding this baby just like I did with my first son At about 5 or 6 months I'll try him on baby cereal which I'll make myself. Then we'll move on to other baby foods, which I'll also make on my own. We'll wean from breastfeeding when we're ready, but my firstborn was weaned at 13 months. I would have breastfed longer but I was unable to pump (women in my family never can for some reason) and my college schedule meant that after an 8 hour school day, my boobs would be SO sore.

DS is BF, I plan on carrying on til he weans (but before he's 2.5/3). He was introduced to solids at 4 months in the hope it would help his reflux (and because he was trying to grab our food). He has homemade purees mainly and finger food. He loves his food and feeding himself! With this baby I will BF and ideally not introduce solids til after 6 months, BLW preferably
I had planned DS wouldn't get chocolate til he was at least a year, difficult to achieve though with family etc. He doesn't get sweet stuff/crisps etc often, DH would give him them more than I would so a bit of discussion is required!
As with anything baby related, you go into it with these intentions that you'll do this/not do that but when baby comes your opinion may change! I know mine has on certain subjects!
Like I stated at the start of my post, I'm more then aware how much can change, which is why I said what you would like to do if possible.

I'm going to try breastfeeding, and then go with the flow.

I have to go back to work somewhere between 6 and 9 months, so I'll have to work out how to make them easy for someone else to look after. Sad but true.

I BF Joe to 8 months at which point he started refusing to. Started off with home-made purees and baby rice at about 18 weeks I think, and once I felt like I'd exhausted fruit/veg purees he started getting a mixture of what we were eating mashed up and jars - when I had to up the hours at work it was mainly jars. He's never been particularly keen on 'proper' meals, preferring to eat random pieces of single food stuffs, like sticks of cheese followed by scrambled egg followed by fruit (tangerines, grapes, mango and strangely, lemons, are his favourite) but he eats just about anything you put in front of him including spicy stuff.

He has never had adult crisps, only ever the baby ones which don't have salt, and has had the very occasional chocolate which he's usually snatched from someone's plate without permission! He's never had any other kind of sweets apart from chocolate. His grandpa gives him ice-cream when we visit. He prefers fruit though and starts going mad if I take too long to peel things for him!

With this one, I'm not sure what's gonna happen yet with how long I'll BF - at the moment it looks like I'll be back in the office within a few weeks so if that happens, I'll probably just switch to formula at that point - it's bad timing business-wise with Christmas so soon after baby. Food-wise, I'm pretty happy with how it is going with Joe so we'll aim for similar!

I'd like to breast feed, but if I can't or don't want to for whatever reason, then a non-soy based formula is what I'll use.

I'd also like to make my own baby food.

As for sweets and junk food. It will be limited. Every once in a while sure, but it is not going to be a common treat in our home.
I also plan on limiting wheat and grains (mostly wheat), and try to focus on a more primal lifestyle as I was doing before pregnancy.
