I love the Oyster, but it isn't suitable from birth unless you buy the carry cot and, in this area at least, the carry cot has been out of stock since the bloody buggy came into the shop!
I have some mummy friends in other areas who are struggling to get it too so might be worth researching it, and getting your hands on one sooner rather than later.

Oh no thats not very good that the carry cot hasn't been in stock It is a great travel system though, I have a friend whos got the electric blue and another friend who has the pink set. Is there any baby shows by you that may have it? Well OH and I was waiting until we had saved our money to buy it, but on Saturday I went to visit my nan who gave me £250 towards to pushchair, bless her. So we are going to our local mothercare this weekend to order/collect the pushchair + carrycot. I will get the maxi cosi cabriofix car seat next month. I really hope they have it in stock, if not I will have to get them to order it in :-)
We asked our local Mothercare about this, and the lead time for carrycot delivery is 8 weeks, so providing we order it in plenty of time, the manager didn't think we'd have too much trouble getting it. Also just for info, there's a Britax car seat that is also compatible with the Oyster but you don't need an adaptor to fit it - saves an extra 20 quid at least! Plus, if you sign up to the baby & me club (also Mothercare) you'll get a booklet of vouchers; one is for £20 off your pushchair, and I think there's also £20 off a car set as well.

We are going to get the new Graco Evo Lime, have to buy the car seat separate then going to buy the car seat base so the car seat can go quicker and easier into the car in love with it!

We're having this one too! Are you having the separate carrycot or using the lie flat position on the pushchair base from birth?

I called my local mothercare yesterday as when I looked online it said the carry cot was out of stock, they said if we pre-order it, it will take about 4 weeks maybe upto 8 weeks but as it's popular more like 4 weeks. So I think we are going to go and pre-order it as soon as we can coz if it takes the full 8 weeks I will only have 8 weeks left till baby is here and that if he/she doesnt come early :/ Thanks for the info about the vouchers though, going to sign up right away Do you know what sex your having? Are you decided on the colour pack you want?

hubby is keen on buying things based on rating on consumer reports. Based on that, we're eyeing these two:

- Graco Stylus Travel System
- Eddie Bauer Adventurer

We're hoping to make a decision in the next couple of weeks. Do any of you ladies have experience with either one?
