put on pelvic rest because of placenta :(

Hi ladies!!
Went to my new doc today to discuss my vbac and redo the heart part of my 20 AK scan. Bubs is perfectly okay. The blood clots are gone from my placenta and my baby girl is 16 oz. Sad news is I have a placenta previa. Previously my placenta was on the back wall now my entire cervix is covered by my placenta. I'm banned from sex until I deliver. He said there is a small chance it may move, but since it moved to that position after being in the right spot, he wants me to prepare mentally for a repeat csection. I was so excited for my vbac, well I guess as long as bubs comes out okay, it doesn't matter that I don't get my birth plan. I just want her here safe. He said any bleeding at all and I need to come in. Anyone else have a placenta previa?

I did with my last baby, I wasnt told to be careful til after 30 weeks and it may move (it didnt)!! sex was a no no though!! my placenta did eventually give in at 34 weeks (300 miles from home) when i started bleeding, i was then admitted to hospital where i stayed til 35 and a half weeks when the bleeding wouldnt really stop so i had a c section at almost 36 weeks.

My LO was born 5lb 8oz but 22 months later hes a strapping chappie!

I wouldnt worry at all, just dont go too far away from home after 3o ish weeks. The big stretch that COULD (not for definate, some are fine) cause the bleed happens later not earlier xxx

I am so glad your Lo is doing so great!!! That's awesome to hear and makes me feel better. He didn't go into to much detail about the bleed, so I am thankful you told me its from 30+weeks that I need to worry. I'm not too upset about the no sex part LOL!!!!!
