Thanks everyone thats definitely put my mind at rest knowing some people don't feel anything till 19 and 20 wks. I don't know if I have an anterior placenta or not but I'm sure I'll find out at my 20 week scan on the 24th.

There was one day where I felt an odd feeling like something slid across my abdomen but I couldn't say for sure if it was just me imagining things.

Also does anyone else feel that since they past 12 weeks that time is flying in? I can't wait to hold my baby in my arms so i'm not complaining lol but just a bit daunting when I think of how much stuff I still need to get and the amount I need to do.

Hi Jenna,

I'm 18+4 today, and have felt exactly what you have described two-three times over the past couple of weeks ( a pulse or twitch). I honestly don't know whether it's baby or not. I haven't felt anything else, really.

I have my scan on the 24th too. Exciting! Hope everything goes well for you

It's hard to say for definite but I had never felt anything like it before which was what made me think it was baby. I've been told it feels like so many different things, some people say its like a washing machine or a finger pinging you from the inside then you've got people who say its like bubbles or trapped wind.

Ohh how exciting! You'll need to let me know how you get on and I hope all goes well for you too!

I could feel movement on and off from when i was 15/16 weeks and I'm a uk size 16-18. not sure size matters although I probably won't feel baby from the outside until later but the kicks are getting stronger now! I've been pregnant twice before but this is my first not sure if that makes a difference or not!

i started feeling very faint weird sensations about two weeks ago.
I actually had that same feeling you described as something sliding across your abdomen last week. i told my DH that it felt like someone traced their finger along my tummy but from the inside.

yesterday and today i've been feeling pops and bloops. i've found that in the afternoon when i'm drinking ice water and sitting still at my desk i feel more activity. i have yet to feel anything while laying down except to watch TV on the couch.

i'm a US size 14 so i have some extra padding around my tummy anyway so i don't expect to feel anything constant for a while.

good luck!

I haven't felt anything. Had midwife appointment today and she asked and she got out the doppler just to check everything was normal and got to hear baby's heart beating

She said not to worry
