20 week scan today- Have to go back- couldn't see babys bladder?

Had my 20 week scan today and the tech couldn't see her bladder. She said she could have emptied it right before the ultrasound. We stopped and tried again like 10 min later and she still didn't see it so I have to go back next week.

Has anyone else had this? I can't stop thinking about it and it worries me.

The Dr. did come in and her kidneys AND fluid levels are normal so that's a good sign.......

I have read that it is very common because the baby is constantly filling and emptying the bladder. If its empty it can be really hard to see. Im sure everything is fine.

I hate Google. I now worry about bladder exstrophy

I had to go back yesterday to have another scan so they could see its heart as they couldn't see all the bits clearly last time but all was good yesterday! I hope yours is all fine when you go again!!

Completely normal i been told, in my 20wk scan bubs bladder was full then 10mins later was difficult to see as he had emptied lol

Took ages to get the bladder shot in my scan too.Had to wait for baby to refill bldder. Just normal don't worry.

It took 4 tries with my daughter...she was a stubborn little thing. but she is 8 now and has a wonderful bladder.

I went for my 20 week scan on Wedsnsday and they told me to go back in a week coz they couldn't see her back (she was lying on the bottom of my uterus). I was told it was normal
