I currently love April for a girls name at the moment. Mentioned it to my step mum and got 'you can't call it that, it's being born in september!' So freaking what?!

I noticed this! Everyone wants to name the baby! So, the name is undisclosed until she's born and her certificate is signed!

why do people think you want their opinion!?

It's like being introduced to someone called kevin and being like "oh i can't stand the name kevin"
so unnecessary.

If I don't like a certain name i'll just be like 'aww lovely' and change the conversation as I'm not a complete and utter moron!

and breatheeeee
My sons name is Aiden, I love his name, but my brother couldn't stand it when I was preggers he kept trying to get me to change it!
It doesnt matter what other ppl think as long as you like it enough to give the name to your child lol (I don't like my brothers name but I don't ever tell him that HAHA)

I know i wouldn't mind if i asked their opinion, but to just state they dislike it is so rude!

I just told him it was good it wasn't his kid then, we love the name and that's that. And too bad the name Keira is Irish origin- good try though you racist pig. Little things like that remind me why I never wanted contact with him in the first place. The other was a male friend of DH and I, he asked when he was over our house if we picked a name yet, so I told him and he's like "why would you name her THAT? you're pretty much setting the kid up for failure with a name like that." Glad you don't like it, kindly keep your opinion to yourself and STFU.
I love it! x

I just handed my sister her ass. While we're typing on this board/thread about rude ass people my sister kept telling me to change the name to Raylee...which I don't want. She wants it Raylee, because my middle name is Lee. Which I don't like, not for me at least. So, I told her I felt that Raylee is a country singer's name, I just don't want it, and we've settled on Rayne. She tells me that Rayne is "ghetto as hell." I told her to go fuck herself and she can get over it. Ugghh.....then she tries to say, "just kidding." Just kidding my ass. Enough is enough. Her name is set, if you don't like it, have your own damn kids and name them what you want!
Before we found out that our last son was a baby boy, we were going to call him Rayne is he was a she! Its beautiful xx

We never told anyone the few names we has picked for a boy or girl just every other name that was on our lists and let people have there opinion on them. People are so full of opinions and oviously they think there right! We named our little lady Violet Olivia and as she was here and named so no one. Our try an change our minds. If people didn't like it they didn't have chance to tell us! I forgotten just how bad people were especially family, untill we started discussing names for this baby. We said we liked Carter for a boy. Well you thought we said a swear word. Apparently it's ridiculous and stupid and the really didn't like it. Oh well never mind. We do! Ive got a few friends that are prgnant and regardless whether I like the name or not I tell them it's lovely! Sometimes this has been really hard to do! Lol!

My eight year old son's name is Ridge Matthew. My mother said "Why would you name your kid Ridge?" She HATED it! Now, he is Ridge. Any other name jsut wouldn't fit.
