We're keeping our names secret (except for on B&B) until he/she is born. I saw how people reacted to the names my sister had chosen while she was pregnant - they were so rude!

As if his name is any better.

People are stupid and think because they have an opinion on something means that they HAVE to express it or else they'll implode or something.
Hey, Ashlyn is beautiful. I had Ashlyn picked out for a girl since before I got pregnant. So, I might be prejudice buttttttttt....I think it is a lovely name.

i love olivia it was one of my choices.

ive now chose lilly and isla.

my son was telling my mam hed felt twin one who is to be isla, and she said "oh you felt lyla?" he said-no nanna shes called isla.

how bad is that my mother cant even get her name right, its not that unusual.

but so far ive not really had any bad comments-not to my face anyway.

My family were never too keen on Eamon's name, but once he arrived, he just *looked* like an Eamon and still does They never said anything else negative about the name and nobody can see him as anything else!
(FTR: I didn't like it either at first. OH named him in pregnancy and it took a while to grow on me.)

Nobody has said anything about Liam so far!

i've had this too! we're keeping our names to ourselves now so they cant influence us we've scored off a few names on our list, 1 of which we really liked, because of comments. and another thing that annoys me is when we were thinking we'd find out the gender (now decided to keep it a surprise) and family members saying under no circumstance do they want to know before the birth! tough sh*t! it's our decision again

WELL THEN ITS A GOOD JOB ITS MY BABY NOT YOURS AND I'M NAMING HER NOT YOU!
why do people think you want their opinion!?

It's like being introduced to someone called kevin and being like "oh i can't stand the name kevin"
so unnecessary.

If I don't like a certain name i'll just be like 'aww lovely' and change the conversation as I'm not a complete and utter moron!

and breatheeeee
My sons name is Aiden, I love his name, but my brother couldn't stand it when I was preggers he kept trying to get me to change it!
It doesnt matter what other ppl think as long as you like it enough to give the name to your child lol (I don't like my brothers name but I don't ever tell him that HAHA)
I know i wouldn't mind if i asked their opinion, but to just state they dislike it is so rude!
These ppl are just oblivious to ppls feelings ,I don't understand how they can truly be so freak'n dumb

Omg i totally agree with this..We haven't decided on anything but people are so damn rude and opinionated when they really just need to shut up and be supportive! I told my friend one of our ideas for a name and she said "I think you can do better than that.."
Geeeez... I wasn't asking for permission.. B!tch
